Biography

The tangible materials’ appearance and multiple shapes are the primary focus of Paolo Di Nozzi’s work in the Plastic Arts. We are used to consider objects as opposed to spirituality: from the artist point of view, the objects are paradoxically alive, far from being just concrete and physical things. The aim of Paolo Di Nozzi’s work is to elaborate a new perspective in which the inner spirituality of materials can be discovered again, questioning the Western dualism of physical versus spiritual.

Paolo Di Nozzi was born in Rome. He graduated with a master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry from La Sapienza University and started a career as manager in multinational chemical companies: thanks to his job, his art and creativity was enhanced by the valuable travel experience around the world, as well as, by his great passion for sculpting with different types of materials, an interest he always had since a very young age.

From 2012 his artistic exploration has been his main focus, thus sculpting and production of pieces of art became a daily need. His blooming artistic career caught the attention of many, receiving broad support in the art communities.

Paolo Di Nozzi has been involved in many art exhibitions in both private galleries and public venues, including institutional places such as MACRO Testaccio and MACRO Asilo, both in Rome.
